• Hello!
I grew up on a farm 18 miles east of Parkston and attended school in Emery, SD.  After graduating  in  1988,  I attended Mount Marty College in Yankton, where I studied elementary education, English, and music.
I  began  teaching  in  Parkston  in  1992  at  New Elm Springs Elementary.  There,  I taught all subjects in grades 4 through    8 for nine years and grades K through 8 for twelve years.
In 2013,  I moved to 6th grade at Parkston Elementary,  to  5th  grade  in  2014, then to 7th grade ELA,  geography,  civics, and 8th grade American history in 2017.  I've enjoyed all the levels I've worked at, and I look forward to each new year and new group of students!
When I'm not working at school, I enjoy doing yardwork and being outside, reading, writing, playing music, and  helping  my family on the farm.
