The Parkston School District is seeking a qualified individual to join its administrative team as School Business Manager.
Are you passionate about education, administration, and financial management? We're seeking a dedicated and experienced candidate to fill the role of School Business Manager. As a key member of our administrative staff, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our school's financial, business, and human resources affairs.
Responsibilities: to include, but are not limited to the following:
Financial Management: Oversee budget development, financial reporting, and expenditure control.
Resource Allocation: Manage procurement, contracts, and vendor relations.
HR Administration: Payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with employment regulations.
Facilities Management: Coordinate maintenance, security, and improvement projects.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to long-term planning and policy development.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, finance, accounting, or related field
· Proven experience in school finance management or a related field is preferred.
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial software (i.e., Software Unlimited, QuickBooks)
· Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
· In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Word
