playground

Exciting News! The new playground is completed. We want to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to the following, who all played a role in bringing the project to life. Words will not suffice for all the work and support provided. It takes a village to raise a child approach was very evident. This will be a great addition to the Parkston School District footprint. Please thank the following people for their help.

Mike Wolf - City of Parkston and Wolf Excavating

Sgt. Lee Gregerson of our SD National Guard Parkston Unit and all the soldiers of the 155th Eng Co. Without their help, it would have been difficult to complete. You are all rockstars!

New Elm Springs Hutterite Colony for the dismantling of the old equipment.

Connor Bialas of Bialas Trucking for the excavating and hauling of materials.

Mike Red and Ethan Goehring of Grosz Sand and Gravel for the pea rock.

Rexwinkle Concrete for help with the cement work.

Justin Moore of Cunningham Recreation for building and installing all the equipment.

All the Parkston Custodial Staff for their role: Highlighted by Chad Jodozi, Maxan Bax, and Sean Deckert

All the Coaches and the Football team for showing up and making quick work of the daunting task of spreading out the pea rock under the playground.

If I forgot someone, my apologies! We can't wait for the kids to come back next week and put it to use.
