I remember exchanging some LinkedIn messages with you about the time that you were first headed to Parkston.
I remember you sharing that you were from Frederick, and when I asked if anyone in Parkston had asked you about the Parkston-Frederick 3 overtime game in 1966. You assured me that YES - everyone!
You may recall that I graduated from PHS in 1967, and I was a junior in 1966, and yes, I was at that game - I am guessing that just about everyone in PHS at the time was there.
Recently I made a new friend on Facebook - who I discovered was the Head BB Coach for Frederick in 1966. He shared that he had an old reel-to-reel recording of the game made for the brother of one of his players who couldn't be at the game.
He had some CDs made and sent me a CD - I have just uploaded the recording to YouTube.com so that it can be easily accessed and shared by anyone interested in listening.
I immediately thought you would be very interested!
And of course you can share this recorded game with anyone you know who might enjoy listening.
It really is like a time capsule—it took place over 60 years ago—and even listening to the radio commercials is interesting.
