Congratulations to Emily Walz on being selected as a finalist in the FFA Proficiency Award area of Nursery Operations, Entrepreneurship for her SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) Project. This means she is one of the top three individuals in the state who applied for her award area. We will find out her final placing at State Convention later in April.


National Honor Society Induction will be held March 26th at 6:30 pm! We apologize for the late notice. We look forward to recognizing our students' academic achievements!

PRESCHOOL SCREENING-- The Parkston School District, in conjunction with Head Start will be offering a free screening for those children who will be between the ages of 3 and 4 by September 1, 2024. Children will have screenings for vision and hearing, as well as all areas of development and cognitive skills. This is available whether you intend to send your child to preschool or not.
Who: Any child age 3 to 4 by September 1, 2024
When: Wednesday & Thursday, March 13th & 14th for Preschool Screening 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the 13th 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on the 14th

Educators Rising State Conference at Northern State Univeristy was a huge success for PHS! Congrats to Elyssa Bartelt as she finished her reign as a State Officer. Parkston brought home many golds, one silver, and several national quailifiers for state competitions. These are our future teachers! We are growing our own at PHS! 🤩📚✏️🍎











Today the Parkston High School Band travelled to Gregory for Region 5 Solo/Ensemble Contest. We brought six events in total and returned with 3 scoring Superior (I) and 3 scoring Excellent (II)!

Today, the PHS choir traveled to Sioux Falls for a clinic at Augustana. They worked with Dr. Russ Svenningsen, Dr. David Chin, and Professor Natalie Campbell on their contest set. They have made some incredible progress. Thank you Augie staff!
