
TEACHER SIGNING DAY 2025! The PHS Educators Rising Chapter hosted the 3rd Annual Teacher Signing Day with two high school seniors, Aida Mikkonen and Myah Moege, signing an education pledge as the commit to entering into the education field. Aida will be attending Augustana University major in Elementary Education and Myah Moege will attend Southeast Technical College to become an Early Childhood Specialist. We are so proud of the teachers PHS is growing!







TONIGHT!! Come bring in Summer at our final concert of the year. The 5-12th Grade POPs Concert & Music Awards in the Armory at 7:00pm. The concert will be livestreamed.

Our girls broke another school record! Congrats to Lauren Ziebart, Berkley Ziebart, Marissa Storm, and Ella Pollreisz! They are the new school record holders in the Medley Relay with a time of 4:16.45! They also got 4th place!

Following awards presentation their will be a meeting for National Qualifiers and Parent(s), ALL qualifiers MUST be in attendance or set up a separate meeting time to meet with Mrs. Kafka.


COMING SOON: FCCLA Can Drive! Cleaning out the garage, hosting a grad party? We want your cans! A trailer will be placed at Parkston Food Center May 17-23 collecting cans. Proceeds will go toward FCCLA members traveling to National Competition.

Thirty-one PHS FCCLA members spent the past three days networking, presenting, and developing leadership skills at the State Leadership Conference. Parkston FCCLA State Leadership Conference Results (*Denotes National Qualifier): Gold Ratings-Rory Juhnke*, Hayden Mette*, Joaquin Rodriquez*, Reco Muilenburg*, Jack Jodozi*, Mato Maxwell*, Brody Overby*, Hayle Weisz, Ava Laffey, Allison Ostrander, Piper Reichert, Kynnedi Kiple, Randi Norgaard, Anna Weber, Aalehya Wilson, Amira Nicholson, Elle Goehring*, Tayah Smith, Lexis Fleshner. Silver Ratings – Tori Lindeman, Aiden Overby, Lizzy Schoenfelder, Kathryn Bialas, Brody Kaufman. Online Event National Qualifiers: Claire Sommer, Abby Goehring, Kennedy Knippling, Alyssa Weisz, Aida Mikkonen, Charlotte Mette, Morgan Bax. National Qualifiers will travel to Orlando, FL this July to compete against students from across the nation. Elle Gohring and Lizzy Schoenfelder were selected for the Current Trends Leadership Team members for 2025-26 school year. The Parkston FCCLA Chapter was awarded the Merit Chapter Award, and Region III Top Honors. Rory Juhnke was presented with the Presidential Award. Parkston should be proud of the leaders we are growing! Another great day to be a TROJAN!
