The Junior class is at it again tonight—painting the town blue and orange! 🎨💙🧡 Such a fun way to get the job done and show off our Trojan pride. Students Grade 6-12 can pick up their chromebooks Monday, August 11th through Thursday, August 14th from 9 AM to 3 PM. Reminder there is $25 fee that covers the insurance cost but that does not cover lost chargers or chromebooks or stolen items it cover only accidental damages.

It’s incredible to see them come together with school pride and spirit to kick off this tradition. Junior class painted p morning crew .. Morning crew... We may have to find an evening to get together. We cannot paint on top of wet concrete (soaked concrete) I drove around town and it's def soaked, because as it dries it would cause the paint to discolor and likely flake due to moisture. So, we don't want to do all of that work only to have to redo it later, plus people paid for this product. So as hard as this is, morning crew will have to reschedule. Afternoon crew I will wait and see what it looks like by about 1130 and then email out about second crew if we are working. We only have two sets of stencils so can't push it more than that. Anyone from first crew is welcome to join second crew, but we still may need to do another night.

The Fall Sports' Season is right around the corner! Join us on 7/29 at 6:30 in the Parkston Armory for our fall sports kickoff meeting. We will do a quick welcome and overview of the necessities and then do breakout meetings with fall coaches.

The Parkston School District would like to welcome Bill Marquardt as the new Head Boys' Basketball Coach!

Coach Marquardt comes to Parkston with 34 years of teaching and 36 years of head coaching experience. He has worked in the Bridgewater, Hanson, Colman-Eagan, McCook Central, and Centerville school districts.

He currently lives in Sioux Falls with his wife Laura, who worked 39 years as the Business Office Director at Queen of Peace. He has two children, his son Chris is a pharmacist for Lewis Drug in Sioux Falls, and daughter Dana is a high school counselor and JV Girls BB coach at Harrisburg. He has two grandchildren, 9-year-old grandson Brooks, and 4-year-old granddaughter Jules round out the family.
