Art Wars: Where Creativity Meets Competition! Today, nine talented students from Parkston represented our school at Art Wars, a state-sanctioned event that challenges young artists to think fast, create boldly, and showcase their skills under pressure. With over 300 students competing at our regional event, each artist selected two mediums and had just 90 minutes to bring a concept to life—turning a week’s worth of artistic exploration into a stunning final piece. Our Parkston artists rose to the challenge, demonstrating incredible creativity, passion, and talent. Their innovative ideas and artistic execution were nothing short of inspiring. This event is a testament to the power of the arts in education—fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and self-expression in ways no other subject can. Art is not just an elective. It’s a force. It’s a future. It’s a necessity. We are so proud of our students and can’t wait to see what they create next year! See you in 2026, Art Wars! *thanks Mrs. Kafka for making our new bags look professional! it was a very nice upgrade!
